Who are we?

CityLink is a Mozambican company with extensive experience in the provision of passenger and goods transport services, built on a history marked by innovation, sustainable growth and focus on results.

Since 1973, when we started activity under the name Jafar Transportation, we have continually evolved to meet the needs of the country. In 2019, with the creation of CityLink, LDA, we consolidated our identity as a modern, robust, customer-centered brand.

Currently, we offer integrated mobility solutions covering strategic interprovincial routes such as Maputo–Maxixe, Maputo–Nampula, Maputo–Tete, among others.

Passenger Transport Terms and Conditions
  • The ticket is the transport contract and contains, on the reverse, the terms and conditions of the transport, which are affixed in the window of all shipping and landing terminals, under the management of CITY LINK, and it is recommended that all passengers read carefully before the purchase of the ticket.

  • IDEAL TRANSPORT and CITY LINK do not sell tickets for interprovincial or international travel outside their terminals if they wish to purchase tickets. IDEAL TRANSPORT and CITY LINK are not responsible for tickets purchased outside their terminals.

  • For boarding, the passenger shall be duly documented and identified, implying the lack of identification document of the passenger which makes his/her identification impossible, the non-authorisation of boarding and the loss of the value of the ticket.

  • Only the use of the ticket by the holder is permitted, these staff being non-transferable and no refund or transfer to third parties is allowed.

  • It is mandatory to confirm the journey up to 24 hours before departure, even if prepayment has already been made.

  • In the event of total loss of the ticket, the passenger will lose 25% of the ticket value by issuing a 2nd track ticket after confirmation in the system.

  • For reimbursement, the presentation of the original ticket is mandatory.

  • In case of cancellation of the trip, the refund will be 70% of the ticket value, provided that the cancellation request is made up to 24 hours before the trip, with the exception of tickets purchased on sale.

  • For rescheduling, the request must be made up to 24 hours before the trip, with a rescheduling fee of 20% of the ticket value.

  • If the passenger does not show up until 30 minutes before the scheduled time for boarding, he will lose his right to travel without refund.

  • Smoking and drinking alcohol inside buses are prohibited.

  • Children over 3 years of age must have a ticket and pay full fare.

  • IDEAL TRANSPORT and CITY LINK are not responsible for delays or travel interruptions caused by force majeure (climate conditions, accidents, strikes, etc.).

  • Passengers with special needs must inform at the time of purchase of the ticket in order to make the necessary arrangements.

  • In the event of an accident, the liability of the undertaking is limited to the value established by the law in force.

  1. Each passenger shall be entitled to the free transport of personal baggage up to a limit of 20 kg, as provided for in Article 116(1) of Decree No 53/2019 of 10 May.

  2. The excess baggage is subject to additional payment, according to the table posted at the terminals.

  3. It is prohibited to transport illicit, explosive, flammable substances or any dangerous material.

  4. IDEAL TRANSPORT and CITY LINK are not responsible for valuables such as money, jewelry, electronics or important documents.

  5. The company is not liable for damage or loss of unlabeled baggage.

  6. Complaints for damage or loss shall be made immediately after landing and accompanied by proof of the ticket.

  7. In case of proven loss, compensation shall be up to 5,000 MZN per volume.

  8. Hand luggage is the passenger's sole responsibility.

GENERAL PROVISIONS:

  1. This contract is governed by Mozambican laws.

  2. The city of Maputo is elected to settle any disputes arising from this contract.

IDEAL TRANSPORT. It undertakes to provide road transport services with a focus on customer safety, quality and satisfaction, working continuously to improve our processes and meet applicable requirements.

Our integrated road safety and quality policy includes the following principles:

  • Put safety first, complying with all applicable traffic laws and regulations, and keeping vehicles safe and reliable in our fleet in order to achieve zero accidents in our operations.
  • Provide quality road transport services, meeting customer requirements, monitoring the performance of our services and working to continuously improve our processes.
  • Promote road safety awareness and training for all drivers and employees involved in our operations, with the aim of ensuring safe driving practices and reducing the risk of accidents
  • Establish and monitor goals and goals of performance in quality and road safety in order to ensure continuous improvement in our processes and services.
  • Establish and maintain an effective integrated road quality and safety management system that meets the applicable requirements and provides a basis for continuous improvement.
  • Communicate this integrated policy of quality and road safety to all our employees, suppliers, customers and stakeholders, ensuring that the policy is understood and applied in our operations.
  • We commit ourselves to implementing this integrated policy of quality and road safety in all our road transport activities, and work to protect human life, and the reputation of our company.
